K9 Helm's CS program is the result of a contract completed for the US Army in 2022. The client's expert K9 handlers at Ft. Bragg, NC requested the development of a lightweight cranial shell with a single wrap-around eye shield, outstanding ventilation, strong mounting points for a detachable muzzle, and a Biothane collar with a conventional buckle for the most secure possible retention. The final prototype helm/muzzle kits delivered to Ft. Bragg provided the basis for a regular production model introduced in 2023 — the K9 Helm Cranial System-One, or CS-1, a nod to our patent US10045513, named Cranial Protection System for a Terrestrial Animal.

New for 2025, the CS1-A2 is made of injection molded polycarbonate, and meets or exceeds US military specifications for ballistic safety eye wear.

Like the original CS-1, the A2 is ideal for military and police canines. Features include the same wrap-around lens, 6061 aluminum muzzle mounting plates, low-profile top rail, and an internally routed collar.

Fits average size Belgian Malinois, Dutch and German Shepherd dogs.
